| Abstract | Corporate restructuring is a term which is generally used when a company needs to improve its competence and profitability. Through corporate restructuring one organization can improve it’s economic outlook and can create new opportunities. It’s a broad term which includes concepts from merger to divestures and other various types of battels for corporate control. The main essence of this restructuring lies in realizing the long term goal of wealth maximization. It’s a process which is multidimensional. This restructuring can be used as a operational restructuring as well as a long term strategy of a business. It is the corporate management expression for the act of partially taking a part and reorganizing a company for the purpose of making it more resourceful and therefore more lucrative. The main purpose of this study is to highlights the changing trends in corporate restructuring in India. The paper furthers explains different formats of corporate restructuring and their consequences. |
